Summary:

The Orthodox Union is looking for an energetic Human Resources Strategic Partner to organize, guide and support our Front Line recruitment teams in their talent acquisition efforts. This includes working with the departmental and Regional teams to define talent needs and develop acquisition strategies and activities that make our mission thrive, drive initiatives and to support our mission and vision.

The OU is experiencing strong growth, and we are looking for a focused individual who is energized to organize vital Talent Acquisition efforts .

The Talent Acquisition role will support the organization’s current recruitment functions with both new and proven ideas, helping departments in connecting with and sourcing talent for roles both externally and internally. They will be the thought leader in the organizations effort of attracting and acquiring top talent for the OU.

The Talent Acquisition manager will partner with hiring managers and other internal stakeholders to recruit for key positions, hire best in class and diverse talent for the organization, and deliver an engaging, responsive and positive experience to candidates, as part of a successful employee journey.

The Talent Acquisition manager will have frontline access to executives and their teams. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability aligning business objectives to workforce strategies and be willing and able to roll up their sleeves and “problem-solve” anything that comes their way. The Director of Talent Acquisition plans, develops and supports recruitment processes and works with management to understand current and future recruitment needs. The Talent Acquisition manager will report to the Director of Talent Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Work to recruit talent to the organization to help fill key open positions.
  • Connect and assess talent from outside the organization to consider where they might potentially fit at the OU.
  • Develop best-in-class TA strategies and methods in recruiting, referral programs, and internal hiring processes.
  • Consult regularly with senior leadership to thoroughly understand talent needs to successfully assist the organizations vision, long term strategy and goals.
  • Develop a TA structure anticipating growth and demands.
  • Develop strategies and processes to ensure a smooth and robust candidate experience throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Build a compelling employer brand in partnership with the HR leadership team.
  • Leverage data and insights to build effective relationships with internal and external leaders to ensure alignment of the recruitment process with unit needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and senior leaders in a productive way that manages expectations, and keeps all parties aligned to acquire the best fit.
  • Partner with senior leadership, location leadership and department recruiters to bring talent in by methodically forecasting the organization’s needs, including corporate offices and field locations.
  • Steer the use of external search firms and staffing agencies to supplement internal recruiting efforts, including building and managing search firm relationships to maximize the impact of collective efforts.
  • Help build robust talent pipelines that tap into specific markets for all our professional needs.
  • Lead and motivate the existing team of TA professionals by monitoring and developing productivity metrics, goals, and efficiencies of the hiring process.
  • Share knowledge, strategy, direction and best practices within the team, as well as broadly within the organizations, to ensure that TA is a highly effective and valued partner to the organization.
  • Educate leadership and the broader organization on best in class recruiting practices, building a culture of mutual investment and focus on talent acquisition.
  • Partner with HR leadership to develop compensation strategies for all organization lines and monitor continuously to ensure competitiveness.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated success in connecting with key talent and recruitment.
  • Experience in a demanding recruiting environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred
