Job Title: Salesforce Administrator, Development and Donor Relations

Reports To: Director of Data Operations

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (20 hours or more per week)

Location: NYC, Washington, DC, or Baltimore preferred; exceptional remote candidates will be considered

Full-Time Salary Range: $70,000–$100,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Summary:
The Salesforce Administrator will be a key individual contributor on the team responsible for managing and optimizing our Salesforce instance, with a primary focus on supporting the fundraising team. This role spans the full spectrum of Salesforce support—from day-to-day operational tasks to advanced technical troubleshooting—while also contributing to the ongoing improvement and strategic expansion of the CRM platform.

The Administrator will help identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and integrations, taking initiative to resolve issues and enhance system efficiency. The ideal candidate is mission-aligned, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing hands-on support with contributing ideas that help make Salesforce and associated systems work better over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle both Tier 1 and Tier 2 Salesforce support:
    • Tier 1: Daily user support, basic troubleshooting, report/dashboard creation, and assisting fundraising staff with routine requests.
    • Tier 2: Troubleshooting complex issues, managing integrations, resolving workflow or automation errors, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Support and optimize CRM systems and processes
    • Analyze data, processes, and system behaviors to identify improvements and recommend solutions
    • Collaborate with the fundraising team to understand workflows and improve data management
    • Contribute to strategic CRM initiatives, including system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements
    • Execute assigned tasks and contribute hands-on to projects while providing input on strategy
  • Develop tools, reporting, and user support for effective fundraising operations
    • Design, implement, and maintain webforms and integrations (e.g., FormAssembly)
    • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support fundraising goals
    • Assist with user training and documentation to ensure smooth adoption of Salesforce tools
  • Provide support for Tikvah’s annual Jewish Leadership Conference
    • Webform management
    • Develop and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards
    • Ensure data accuracy through entry and updates
    • Assist with on-site conference check-in

 Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator with a minimum of 2-3 years experience, preferably in a nonprofit or fundraising context.
  • Hands-on experience managing Salesforce configurations, reports, dashboards, flows, custom objects, and user permissions.
  • Experience with webform tools and integrations, such as FormAssembly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements.
  • Strong understanding of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 support responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated, mission-aligned, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising operations and development processes.
  • Experience with additional Salesforce clouds or modules relevant to fundraising.
