Part Time Executive Assistant to the Rabbi
Position Overview
Congregation Mishkan Tefila seeks an enthusiastic, highly organized professional with exceptional communication skills to serve as our Executive Assistant to the Rabbi. The Executive Assistant is an integral member of the Congregation Mishkan Tefila staff and will actively impact many critical, behind the scenes aspects of running our organization. They serve as the “right hand” to the Rabbi assisting in key aspects of the operations management functions of our Congregation
In addition to providing administrative support which includes activities such as:
• manage the Rabbis calendar
• organize and maintain e-mail correspondence
• maintain pastoral care logs and scheduling follow ups for rabbi
• prepare and distribute course materials for rabbinic led classes
• promote synagogue activities on various social media as needed
the Assistant will, for example:
• assist congregants (by phone and email)
• troubleshoot problems
• assist with event logistics
• represent the rabbi in a professional and friendly manner
The Assistant will frequently interact with Board members, staff, and members of the Mishkan Tefila community. They will routinely work with confidential information and will need to exercise discretion at all times. Minimum Required Qualifications
• High school diploma/GED and 2-4 years of work experience or college degree and 1-3 years work experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel as well as google suite
• Familiarity with ShulCloud is ideal, but willingness and ability to learn it is essential
• Demonstratable ability to manage concurrent activities, work under pressure and be adaptable to changing priorities
• Interest in advancing the Congregation Mishkan Tefila Mission
Additional Preferred Experience
• Knowledge of the Jewish community and Jewish practices
