About the Role
Chicago Jewish Funerals is seeking a compassionate, motivated individual to join our team as a Funeral Services Specialist. This role is ideal for someone looking for meaningful, community-oriented work—whether you are beginning your career, seeking a change, or hoping to grow into a licensed Funeral Director role.
No prior funeral service experience is required. We provide training and mentorship, offering a clear path for advancement in funeral service and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in the coordination and preparation of funeral services.
  • Provide administrative support and maintain accurate records.
  • Work directly with families, offering guidance and compassion.
  • Ensure services are carried out with dignity, respect, and attention to detail.
  • Support community outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Flexibility to assist with evening and weekend services when needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented.
  • (Understanding of Jewish culture and traditions preferred, but not required.)
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary starting at $45,000+, based on experience.
