Organizational Overview

Birthright Israel began with a bold idea in 1999 — to offer young Jewish adults a life-changing trip to Israel to build their Jewish identity and, by doing so, transform the Jewish future. In turn, The Birthright Israel Foundation was founded to raise the necessary funds in the United States to support this critical mission and to ensure that all young Jews have an opportunity to visit their ancestral homeland and forge a connection to their heritage that can last a lifetime. Since its founding, Birthright Israel has sent over 850,000 young adults on this transformational trip. Our work has become even more important in a post-October 7th world.

Compensation

• $50,000-$70,000
• FLSA: Exempt

Key Responsibilities

• Exceptional Writing and Content Creation
  Craft compelling and high-quality written content for a variety of platforms including emails, blog posts, social media, and newsletters. Ensure content is engaging, informative, and aligns with brand voice and messaging.
• Social Media Content
  Assist with managing social media accounts, create and curate content, engage with the audience, and enhance online presence and brand awareness.
• Email Marketing
  Responsible for compelling copywriting and content strategy for donor communications.
• Creative Collaboration
  Work with graphic designers, videographers, and other creative professionals, ensuring that all written content enhances the visual elements of marketing materials.
• Alum Ambassador Program Support
  Actively support and collaborate with the Alum Ambassador program, including orienting ambassador on brand awareness and Birthright Israel's case for giving, preparing ambassadors regarding speaking and content-creation opportunities, and attending events to capture content for digital properties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 2+ years professional experience with marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role with a strong focus on writing.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Ability to take initiative and to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• A passion for Jewish engagement and the mission of Birthright Israel.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to speak clearly and hear the spoken word well.
• Regularly required to physically operate routine office equipment such as telephones, computers, and mobile devices.
• Regularly required to utilize near vision ability to read data and documents, including spreadsheets and reports, in printed form and on computer screens.
