Position overview:
Jewish National Fund seeks to recruit a National Director of JNFuture. This role can be based in the following office locations: NYC, Rockville Centre, Bala Cynwyd, Northbrook, Atlanta, Scottsdale, or Denver.
JNFuture is the Young Philanthropy division of Jewish National Fund-USA ages 22-41, the fastest growing donor demographic within our donor base.
Job responsibilities:
- Coordinate national board operations for JNFuture including monthly national board calls, annual in-person meeting, and biennial nominating process
- Facilitate national gatherings including missions to Israel, participation in Global Conference for Israel, and annual leadership development programs for professionals and lay leaders
- Manage team of young leadership fundraisers including team calls to support work objectives and an annual professional retreat; direct supervision of 11 young leadership fundraisers across the United States
- Build capacity of existing and new chapters through board and leadership training, board retreats and succession planning
- Train and focus the JNFuture fundraising team and lay leadership on the donor journey of the ages 22-41 demographic, with a focus on gifts in the $360, to become a JNFuture member, to $1,000+ to become a leader within JNFuture, to $5,000+, to accelerate their leadership within JNF-USA
- Be the national face and leader of JNF-USA, promoting the opportunity for Millennials and Gen Z to be impact philanthropists supporting the land and people of Israel!
- Onboard and train new JNFuture team members with a focus on how to cultivate, solicit, and provide ongoing stewardship for their constituents. Serve as a mentor for a team of young professionals through their early career journey.
- Convene ad-hoc committees to explore initiatives that will advance campaign objectives and engage new audiences for JNFuture
- Work with supervisor to facilitate the fundraising campaign for JNFuture, identifying opportunities and key milestones.
- Analyze the database to identify opportunities and challenges and provide progress reports to JNF leadership.
- Work with marketing and communications department to promote JNFuture where relevant in mailings, press releases, social media, press ads and other marketing communications
- Utilize relationship with partner organizations to spread awareness and increase JNFuture membership
- Any additional activity as required by the Chief Israel Advocacy and Leadership Officer
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in fundraising, advocacy, sales, marketing, and management
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills
- Ability to design and lead training seminars
- Creative self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team
- Superior problem solving and multi-tasking ability
- Must have the flexibility for significant travel
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Database)
- Database/CRM systems experience – Salesforce is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or (equivalent work experience)
