High Holiday Hazzan

Suburban-DC area synagogue seeks High Holiday Cantor for the Yamim Nora'im, 5785 season, to include:

• Erev Rosh Hashanah (Wednesday, October 2)
• Rosh Hashanah Services (Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4)
• Kol Nidrei (Friday, October 11)
• Yom Kippur Morning (Saturday, October 12)
• Mincha, Yizkor, Neilah and Havdalah (Saturday, October 12)

• Serve as the lead vocalist/Shaliach Tzibur during High Holiday, 5785, services, setting the tone and pace for congregational singing and participation.
• Offer solo or small group musical leadership during services in collaboration with other clergy, lay prayer leaders and the lay choir
• Lead and teach as appropriate melodies and prayers to the congregation.
• Collaborate with clergy, lay leaders, professional staff, and others to create meaningful and spiritual services.

We are an egalitarian, participatory community and uses the Kol Haneshama: Mahzor Leyamim Nora'im.
