Job Overview

Tiferet Bet Israel (TBI) is seeking an Education and Program Associate who is an enthusiastic, creative, highly organized professional with exceptional communication skills.  They will provide essential support to TBI’s schools and engagement programs. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations, effective communication and efficient administration across these vital areas of our community. This job description is not all encompassing. TBI may ask for additional duties as necessary. This position reports directly to the Director of Education and indirectly to TBI’s Senior Staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks including e-newsletters, recording keeping, and data management for TBI’s Abramson Early Childhood Center, TBI’s Religious School, and for TBI’s various engagement programs.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for parents, staff, and community volunteers, providing clear and prompt communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Create weekly school email updates and work closely with the TBI Communications Coordinator to publicize events.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating events and special programs, ensuring all logistics are handled smoothly.
  • Student Enrollment: Support the enrollment process for early childhood and religious school students, maintaining accurate records and assisting with admissions inquiries.
  • Budget Implementation: Assist with budget tracking and maintaining financial records related to school and program expenses.
  • Facility Coordination: Coordinate the use of facilities for schools, programs, and activities, in partnership with senior staff, ensuring spaces are prepared and maintained as needed. Share in opening and closing responsibilities of the TBI Abramson Early Childhood Community as directed. 
  • Support for Educators/Volunteers: Assist teachers and program coordinators with administrative tasks, supply orders, and other needs that may arise.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Support Director of Education to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain up-to-date records, including health and safety requirements, for school and program participants.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Strong task management skills and meet deadlines
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Not required, but helpful: Familiarity with Constant Contact, Canva and Shulcloud.
