Serving as the Center for Jewish Life in Lower Manhattan, the Jewish Community Project (JCP Downtown) is a diverse, innovative, inclusive, and open Jewish community and communal space with a meet-you-where-you-are approach.
JCP is looking to hire engaging & enthusiastic staff to help facilitate youth programming for grades K-5 on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Activities will include arts and crafts, music, drama, a youth service, lunch, and more. Program facilitators will be responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, engaging, and fun environment for participants, for ensuring participants’ physical and emotional safety and wellbeing, and assisting with some setup and clean up. Facilitators will report to the Assistant Director of JCP’s Hebrew School Project.
You are encouraged to apply even if you are available to work on only one out of the two holidays. Jewish background is not required. Prior experience with and a love for working with elementary age children are a must.
