6th grade Religious School and Hebrew teacher

Religious School Teacher Position for 2025-2026 

Adat Shalom, a Conservative synagogue in West Los Angeles, is seeking a teacher for its Religious School for the 6th grade class.  We meet Sunday mornings from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. 

Our approach brings together the best of traditional Jewish education in a well-rounded program that strengthens our students’ Jewish identity, building character as Jewish citizens of the world.  It is a place where children and their families become part of a warm and enthusiastic community, and where Torah and Judaism come alive. 

Our program highlights include:  Meaningful learning opportunities with the senior rabbi, Rabbi Miriam Potok; and the education director, Rabbi Karen Isenberg; joyful tefillah and lively music with Cantor Dale Schatz; Hebrew instruction geared toward synagogue skills; and studies that build connections with Israel. 

Salary offered is $50/hour.  Staff hours are 8:30am-12:15pm.
