At Surprise Lake Camp, you’ll spend your days outside, stay active, build real leadership skills, and be part of a close knit Jewish community that makes the whole experience unforgettable.

Since 1902, Surprise Lake Camp has built a warm, inclusive Jewish community where campers grow, connect, and create lifelong memories. Counselors are at the heart of that experience.

What You’ll Do

• Live in a bunk and care for campers (ages 7–16)
• Create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment
• Participate in daily programming, including Shabbat and Jewish life activities
• Build relationships with campers and help guide their growth
• Support a community rooted in inclusion and shared values

Requirements

• 17+ and high school graduate
• Experience working with children preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a team oriented mindset
