Description
Path With Heart is a Jewish spiritual community led by Rabbi Jill Zimmerman. Rabbi Zimmerman’s teachings focus on creating welcoming, mindful and creative spiritual experiences that open hearts and build community. She was ordained by Hebrew Union College. In 2011, she founded Path With Heart (formerly the Jewish Mindfulness Network) and she leads the Hineni: The Mindful Heart Community. Rabbi Jill is an outspoken progressive advocate on social media with tens of thousands of followers and she also serves as the Executive Director for the Board of Rabbis of Northern California.
The Program Manager (PM) is a new role at Path With Heart and this individual will be responsible for getting program tasks completed, engaging in written communications with the Path With Heart audience, and keeping the team on-track for program-related tasks. The PM will track work using a project management system and maintain a clear schedule of deadlines.
Tasks will include preparing program emails, preparing posts for social media, writing copy for event pages, customer communication, customer billing, program scheduling, and maintaining digital systems at Path With Heart. Working with Rabbi Jill and her team, the PM organizes information, prioritizes what needs to get done, and takes care of various tasks to keep programs moving steadily forward at Path With Heart.

Responsibilities
The Project Manager holds these core responsibilities:
- Complete creative, written, and technical tasks for smooth program roll-outs
- Support members with communications and billing
- Keep an up-to-date schedule of program events and project deadlines
Tasks
Programs - Core responsibilities
- Edit copy for event pages
- Select images for event pages
- Tailor layout of web pages (drag & drop, in a visual builder)
- Prepare and send emails to Hineni (weekly)
- Prepare and write emails to Path With Heart (2x per month)
- Edit and test emails for the PWH list (MailChimp)
- Prepare social media posts
Customer support
- Answer questions via email, phone, etc from Hineni members and Path With Heart subscribers
- Billing support for Hineni members and class registrants (Example: Pausing and unpausing membership billing for Hineni members when they submit these requests)
Projects - Responsible for assigned projects and tasks
- Keep program schedule plans updated in project management software
- Manage program task completion in management software
- Communicate with the team about program deadlines
General support
- Schedule meetings for Rabbi Jill as needed
- As requested, look up information or prepare researched reports
- Support with program planning and project management
Requirements
The Program Manager is organized and efficient and has strong skills in writing engaging content, posting to social media, project planning, operating online platforms, and engaging in both written and verbal communication with team members and customers. The PM uses these skills to keep Path With Heart on track with program commitments, to get timely tasks completed for members and course registrants, and to help Path With Heart stay accountable for the completion of program-related work. Lots of small details are handled directly by the PM and their clear advocacy for all things program-related helps everyone at Path With Heart give property priority to those tasks.
Preferred candidate experience:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with drag and drop web-page software (WordPress, etc.)
- Experience with writing and editing
- Experience posting to social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Experience with mass email software (MailChimp, etc.)
- Experience with remote work (Zoom, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Experience with project management software (ClickUp, etc.)
- Preference for being Jewishly knowledgeable

Work type: Contractor, 1099
Time: 10+ hours per week
Location: Fully remote; occasional travel to Bay Area, CA headquarters
Compensation: $20-$25/hour, depending on experience
