Description

The Jewish Foundation of Greensboro was established to create permanent endowments to ensure the viability of Jewish community life and education in the community. The Foundation seeks a professional to facilitate organizational programs, events, social media, and marketing and serve as an integral member of the Foundation team. This role will report to the Assistant Endowment Director. As an organized and responsible professional, the Program and Communications Coordinator will work collaboratively with team members and lay leaders. This position requires knowledge of Jewish culture, customs, calendar, and concerns .

 

Programming:

  • Responsible for strategic leadership, operational management, and oversight of established programs
  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and lead new programs
  • Develop educational programs and events
  • Responsible for the fiscal management, administration, and coordination and recruitment of programs

Marketing, website, and social media:

  • Develop strategy and concepts for marketing, invitations, reports, and social media
  • Create and post regular updates of Foundation events and articles on social media platforms and website

Additional responsibilities:

  • Maintain donor files to include paper and digital information
  • Archive records for digital retrieval
  • Assist with correspondence and mailings
  • Help organize material for meetings
  • Other duties may need to be assigned to meet organizational needs

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of relevant full-time work experience
  • Ability to work on scheduled nights for programs or events
  • Experience in creating and executing programs (professional or volunteer)
  • Marketing and social media capability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and act with the highest degree of integrity
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to Judaism
