Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven frontline fundraiser for our growing team.  They will work with the CEO, COO/CDO, and board and will be accountable for raising $500,000+ per year.  They will manage a revenue portfolio driven by major individual and foundation gifts and fundraising/cultivation events.  With a development associate, they will design and improve fundraising systems and processes as T’Shuvah Center evolves from a start-up to a second-stage organization.

T’Shuvah Center’s mission is to provide addicts with the opportunity to build a community for recovery using a model that integrates Jewish wisdom, text, and ritual; counseling; the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous; and spirituality. Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the achievement of a revenue target of $500,000+ out of a budget of $1.5 million from a complex, high profile portfolio of priority relationships, fundraising activities and events
  • Ensures volunteer and donor retention, recognition, and pipeline development
  • Leads the development of relationships and engagement of major donors and volunteers
  • Ensures the implementation of best practices for revenue growth
  • Ensures event and activity details are expertly executed
  • Actively collaborates with all development team members, Marketing, and Program staff to maximize success;
  • Models and fosters behavior that establishes a culture that values the staff/volunteer partnership, and is consistent with the cultural beliefs and values of the T’Shuvah Center.

Qualifications

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor's degree. Two years related experience preferred.

OTHER SKILLS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work successfully in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to recruit, train and motivate community-based volunteers.
  • Demonstrated ability in handling multiple priorities, project management and meeting deadlines; strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven relationship building, persuasion and influence skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with experience in effectively addressing and resolving issues.
  • Ability to proactively monitor and adjust activities to respond to changing circumstances and priorities to meet goals, proactively address issues as they arise and mitigate risks associated to events.
  • Outcome driven; strong project management ability.
  • Able to work through others to accomplish goals.
  • Strong market, community and constituent perspective.
  • Remains composed under stress, handles responses to criticism tactfully and delivers on organizational commitments.
  • Broad knowledge of the overall structure, programs, and services of the American Cancer Society including policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer-based information systems.
