Congregation Beth Emeth, a dynamic Conservative synagogue in Herndon, VA is seeking creative, knowledgeable staff for our dynamic religious school program. Our school serves children in grades K-7 as well as our Chai School for grades 8-10. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about Judaism and enjoy being in the classroom. We have multiple positions available on Sunday mornings from 9am-12noon, and our older students also meet on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30-6:30pm.
We are also seeking a Hebrew language teacher to work one on one with children who need additional support.

• Familiar with Hebrew, sufficient to teach beginning Hebrew readers to decode.
• Passionate for Jewish knowledge, tradition and history.

• Develop lesson plans that are interesting, engaging, and age appropriate, ensuring that curriculum objectives are met.
• Build positive relationships with students and parents.
• Communicate with parents periodically via email about student/class progress.
