Job Title: Manager of Operations
Organization: Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET)
Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid considered)

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience

About EMET:

The Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET) is a Washington, D.C.-based think tank and policy institute dedicated to educating policymakers and the public about the Middle East, with an emphasis on promoting American national security and defending Israel’s right to exist in peace within secure borders.

Position Summary:

EMET is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manager of Operations to oversee the day-to-day functions of the organization, manage staff and consultants, coordinate fundraising and event activities, and help amplify EMET’s strategic impact on Capitol Hill and beyond. This is a leadership role requiring initiative, strong communication skills, and a passion for pro-Israel advocacy and U.S. national security policy.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Communications:

  • Strengthen EMET’s media presence across print and visual platforms.

  • Coordinate and implement nationwide fundraising and speaking engagements.

  • Lead donor development efforts targeting high-net-worth individuals.

  • Expand EMET’s reach on Capitol Hill through direct engagement with lawmakers and staffers.

  • Collaborate with the Board on policy priorities and strategic planning.

Operations & Management:

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure continuity during emergencies.

  • Hire, develop, and supervise staff and consultants.

  • Establish clear job roles, conduct evaluations, and maintain strong HR practices.

  • Review and manage legal, contractual, and financial obligations with professional consultation.

Development & Fundraising:

  • Provide strategic leadership in fundraising across all channels: annual campaigns, grants, major gifts, and events.

  • Identify and pursue new revenue streams and funding opportunities.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors and grant officers.

  • Organize and participate in parlor meetings and donor outreach efforts.

Community Relations & Public Advocacy:

  • Represent EMET publicly as a spokesperson in coordination with the President/CEO and Board.

  • Build partnerships with aligned organizations and community groups.

Governance & Board Support:

  • Assist the President/CEO and Board Chair in preparing reports and implementing board directives.

  • Attend Board meetings and support smooth transitions in staff and leadership roles.


Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in nonprofit operations, public policy, or fundraising.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to EMET’s mission and values.

  • Experience with donor relations, grant writing, and public speaking.

  • Knowledge of Middle East policy and Capitol Hill dynamics is highly desirable.
