 Your Department

The Global Events Department oversees operations and logistics for a variety of domestic and international events, meetings, and missions, including AJC Global Forum (the agency’s annual policy conference), Board of Governors meetings, Leadership Development and Board Engagement Institutes, and National Development events (NLC Fly In and Anniversary Missions). Through these events, we raise

awareness of AJC’s programmatic and advocacy work, engage and develop lay leadership, and enhance understanding of and commitment to the agency’s priorities.

Your Impact

 This position makes an impact at AJC by planning, overseeing, and developing work with significant impact on the organization's mission and goals; may have no direct reports or manage a small team. Works with significant latitude to solve moderately complex problems and make strategically important decisions impacting the department.

The Associate Director will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of AJC’s signature events and virtual programming, in close collaboration with the Director of Global Events and other internal stakeholders.

 Your Role

 Play a leading role in content planning and program development for major AJC events, including but not limited to AJC Global Forum, Diplomatic Marathon, the National Leadership Council Advocacy Fly-In, and other in-person programs, in coordination with the Director of Global Events.

  • Assist with the speaker invitation process, including coordination and logistical arrangements.
  • Contribute to the development of event collateral, including printed programs and event graphics.
  • Support participant recruitment strategies and help draft related email communications.
  • Liaise with other departments (MarComm, DPPA, Development, and others) to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization.

Advocacy Anywhere (Virtual Programming)

  • Partner with the Director to conceptualize and propose Advocacy Anywhere programs aligned with AJC’s goals and mission.
  • Manage back-end logistics and technical setup for national public webinars using Zoom or other virtual platforms, including livestreaming, posts on the AJC website, and related graphics.
  • Partner with the Development Department to coordinate exclusive virtual programming for donors.
  • Regularly propose new ideas and topics for virtual events.

 AJC External Speakers Bureau

  • Ensure public and private speaker engagements arranged by regional and global offices are coordinated with any other outstanding asks from the agency.
  • Maintain and update speaker records in AJC’s internal systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

 Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience

  • Knowledge of AJC’s advocacy agenda, particularly related to Israel, antisemitism, and radicalism/extremism

Compensation

The salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 depending on relevant experience and location.
