TWO EARLY ELEMENTARY & ONE ECE POSITION OPEN!
Kadima seeks a Shemesh teacher (1st & 2nd grade combined) and a Geshem teacher (Pre-K & K combined) for our Saturday morning Shabbat School program. The 2025-2026 school year runs 22 sessions September-May with paid orientation and CPR training days in late August. Shabbat School happens on-site in the South Seattle area, 9:30am-12pm.
Shemesh’s curriculum primarily covers Torah stories, Geshem explores Jewish holidays and festivals.
We are looking for experienced elementary educators who are able to engage young children and demonstrate excellent classroom management skills. Our program is multiracial and centers inclusivity. We serve many neurodivergent students, queer and trans students, and interfaith families. Ability to understand and support these (often intersecting) identities and experiences is a must.
Kadima also seeks a facilitator for our monthly Nitzan program (babies and littles ages 0-3, plus their parents/caregivers). The 2025-2026 school year runs 9 Nitzan sessions September-May with paid orientation and CPR training days in late August. Nitzan gathers on-site in the South Seattle area, 9:30am-12pm, second Saturdays of the month.
Nitzan is part Tot Shabbat, part parent support group, part play group. An ideal facilitator would be able to navigate and manage the many needs of this group, leading activities that engage babies and toddlers while also allowing some flexibility for play, socializing, and discussion.
We are looking for a facilitator with early childhood education experience, who has worked previously with babies and toddlers, and understands the needs/abilities of this age group (and the needs/concerns of new parents).
Our program is multiracial and centers inclusivity. We serve many neurodivergent community members, queer and trans community members, and interfaith families. Ability to understand and support these (often intersecting) identities and experiences is a must.
Kadima is a Reconstructionist, progressive Jewish community. We would love to work with someone who can help us uphold our organization’s values, and translate those values to our students in an age-appropriate way. All three positions start at $30.85/hr and scales upward based on experience and prior training. Benefits also included free Kadima School enrollment for your children (if applicable) and free Kadima membership.
