English Speaking Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Teach: reading, writing, math, social studies and some science (in collaboration with our STEAM director/teacher) or subjects as assigned.
• Use data to help inform instruction.
• Regular and ongoing communication with families as to students strengths and needs.
• Provide timely feedback to students.
• Attends and participates in weekly faculty meetings.
• Commitment to life-long learning and continually finding ways to improve your craft as a teacher.
• Supervision duties
• Create a positive and warm classroom environment following Responsive Classroom program.
• Attend school events outside of the school day as they pertain to school programming
• and admissions events.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (master’s preferred).

• Experience classroom teaching experience.
• Collaborative team player
• Knowledge of and experience teaching using Project Based Learning, Design Thinking and other current pedagogical best practices. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and school administration.
• Passion for bettering the lives of students.
