COMMUNITY OUTREACH & PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER (Part Time)

20 hour per week @ $40 per hour - $41,600 part time annual salary

Are you a natural relationship-builder with a passion for helping people access vital support services?

We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team:

  • Strengthen community connections
  • Raise community awareness of our vital services
  • And as a result … bring in more people in need, for us to serve.

Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Northern New Jersey (JFCS) is a nonprofit, health & human services agency committed to improving the lives of individuals and families across our region. Rooted in Jewish values and tradition, we offer compassionate, professional support to all who turn to us, regardless of background, faith, identity, or circumstance. OUR MISSION is to strengthen and enhance the well-being of the community by providing high-quality services that meet life’s many challenges.

The Community Outreach & Partnerships Manager will connect and build relationships with healthcare providers and community-based organizations throughout our catchment area and serve as an ambassador for services JFCS can provide.

While the role reports to the Director of Older Adult Services and operates out of that department, you will also partner with other JFCS departments (including our community social workers).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers (e.g., hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physician practices), as well as community-based organizations, social service agencies, and local government or advocacy groups that support older adults and caregivers. Identify new partnership opportunities by educating discharge planners, social workers, and medical professionals about the support we offer to individuals and families.

  • Serve as a key ambassador to successfully connect with community partners and convey information on the range of our programs and services toward the goal of expanding outreach and collaboration opportunities.
  • Represent JFCS at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities to tell our mission-driven story in a compelling and authentic way.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in outreach, community relations, or as a healthcare liaison
  • A genuine passion for helping people access meaningful support services
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience managing relationships and following up in effectively & professionally

  • Good computer skills [MS Word/Excel/Outlook and database software experience]

If you are energized by relationship-building and driven by purpose, help make an impact!
