Manager, Donor Relations

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated fundraising professional to strengthen and grow donor relationships at a mission-driven institution. The Manager, Donor Relations will shape a thoughtful stewardship strategy, ensuring donors feel valued and connected to the organization’s vision. With a focus on meaningful engagement, this position plays a key role in advancing philanthropic support and fostering long-term donor commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to design and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy.
  • Manage the production of the annual Gratitude Report, including timelines and content.
  • Deliver personalized stewardship for Annual Fund donors giving between $1,000–$9,999, while collaborating on major gift prospect identification.
  • Coordinate donor recognition, including naming opportunities, signage, and legacy giving acknowledgments.
  • Track and report on Board giving; provide timely pledge reminders and customized fulfillment support.
  • Oversee the Museum’s planned giving society, including one annual event and year-round stewardship.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on stewardship-related communications, e-blasts, and social media.
  • Ensure fulfillment of recognition obligations across departments and provide tailored impact reports.
  • Develop creative stewardship touchpoints and tools for gift officers to strengthen donor cultivation.
  • Support donor events, including the Cornerstone Society Reception and Protectors of the Museum gatherings.
  • Contribute weekly stewardship reports and ensure accurate data in collaboration with Development Operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to capture organizational voice and values.
  • Proven organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects.
  • Event planning experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and CRM systems; experience with Raiser’s Edge or Altru a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
