Temple Israel of Great Neck, a prominent Conservative congregation, is seeking a driven, creative, and highly organized Content Creator to join our communications team. The ideal candidate is eager to jump in on various marketing and communications initiatives and is proficient in social media and email marketing. This candidate has demonstrated experience creating online content and managing a wide array of online and offline platforms. This role is hybrid based out of Great Neck, NY.
Essential Functions:
Primary responsibilities will be to create engaging content and to manage all our social media channels, the website, print media, and email marketing communications while maximizing analytics to increase brand awareness and social engagement.
This position works closely with the synagogue clergy, various committees, development team, and other event planners to ensure seamless communication executions and a unified voice to create and distribute content. The person in this position will also have the opportunity to work with leadership in ideating new campaigns and planning strategies to move the organization forward.
Responsibilities:
- Create professional, engaging, and compelling content across print, digital, and social media platforms to promote synagogue events, programs, initiatives, and new member outreach.
- Manage the synagogue's online presence, including website content, social media channels, and email newsletters.
- Design and produce marketing materials.
- Design graphics for social media posts and email marketing initiatives
- Engage with the social media audience and conduct social media due diligence as needed.
- Responsible for monitoring and analyzing social media stakeholder interactions, including affiliates, sponsors, partners, and donors to assess engagement levels and effectiveness of collaborative campaigns
- Maintain a clear and organized social media calendar including strategy, deliverables, and deadlines
- Collaborate with the other team members/departments
Competencies:
Interpersonal skills, detail oriented, impeccable writing, self-motivated, artistically talented, demonstrated design skills, and technological savvy with a knowledge of AI and multiple platforms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a hybrid, part-time position with a varying schedule of hours and days of the week. In-person presence for meetings and events is mandatory.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years’ experience in marketing & communications including experience developing marketing and/or community-building strategies for organizations.
