This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader who can combine high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution to expand SSLI’s visibility and reputation as the premier Jewish day school on Long Island.

The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, brand ambassador, and relationship-builder with a track record of enrollment or admissions marketing success.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Enrollment & Retention Marketing

  • Develop and lead an integrated marketing plan with enrollment and retention as the #1 priority.
  • Partner closely with Admissions to create and optimize targeted campaigns, referral initiatives, and ambassador programs that increase inquiries, tours, and applications.
  • Identify new opportunities—both digital and community-based—to expand reach and increase visibility among prospective families.

Branding & Messaging

  • Strengthen SSLI’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and materials.
  • Develop compelling campaigns that communicate SSLI’s unique value, academic excellence, and Jewish community connection.

Digital Marketing & Social Media Leadership

  • Oversee a robust digital strategy, including social media, email campaigns, and paid advertising.
  • Ensure a strong, consistent social media presence that highlights SSLI’s vibrancy and drives prospective family interest.
  • Monitor analytics and continuously adjust strategies to improve engagement and conversion.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality photo, video, and written content that highlights SSLI’s students, faculty, and events.
  • Serve as the school’s chief storyteller, ensuring regular, compelling narratives reach current and prospective families.

Community Engagement & Public Relations

  • Act as a public-facing ambassador for SSLI, building relationships with local synagogues, preschools, community organizations, and media outlets.
  • Secure earned media coverage and increase community awareness of SSLI’s mission and success stories.

Event Marketing & Promotion

  • Ensure that all school events, open houses, and community programs are effectively marketed and positioned as opportunities to attract prospective families.
  • Be present at key events to capture content and strengthen external visibility.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Establish and track key performance indicators for all marketing activities, with a strong focus on enrollment metrics (inquiries, tours, conversion rates).
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of School on marketing impact and enrollment progress.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields; experience in enrollment/admissions marketing strongly preferred.
  • Proven success in creating and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Strong social media, digital marketing, and analytics experience.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and visual communication skills.
  • Outgoing, confident, and comfortable as a public representative of the school.
  • Strategic thinker who is also willing to roll up their sleeves and execute when needed.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
