Operations & Incident Support Coordinator

Part-Time: 10-20 hrs/week | Bay Area-based, Remote/Hybrid 

The Bay Area Center to Counter Antisemitism (BACCA) empowers and amplifies grassroots efforts to combat antisemitism across Bay Area schools, municipalities, and community spaces. Through coordination, resources, and partnerships, BACCA strengthens local capacity to prevent and respond to antisemitism, while advancing safer, more inclusive environments.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to support core administrative functions, grassroots group operations, incident tracking, and volunteer coordination.

This role is essential to ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation, efficient case management, and smooth coordination across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Incident Management Support

  • Assist with research and drafting related to incident documentation and response
  • Track complaint timelines and follow up to ensure legal compliance and timely action
  • Maintain and organize databases to document incidents, anonymize materials, and synthesize key information
  • Coordinate and support interviews with students, families, or other stakeholders
  • Promote awareness and use of the incident reporting platform

Grassroots Group Administrative Support

  • Coordinate and prepare meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including agendas, materials, notes, and follow-up on action items
  • Serve as point of contact for vendors, partners, and collaborators
  • Track and submit receipts and assist with basic budget tracking
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person events, including scheduling, materials, RSVPs, and follow-up
  • Monitor organizational activities, timelines, and deliverables to support evaluation and improvement

Volunteer Management 

  • Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and engagement
  • Maintain records and track volunteer hours and roles
  • Coordinate communications and help organize trainings and appreciation efforts

 

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and diverse community members
  • Experience with executive support, project management, and incident management preferred 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and sensitive information with discretion
  • Familiarity with K–12 education systems, civil rights issues, or nonprofit work preferred
  • Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and project tracking platforms
