About Mazel Day School:

Mazel Day School is a Blue Ribbon award-winning Jewish community school located in South Brooklyn, serving students from Preschool through Grade 8, and launching a new high school in Fall 2025. Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, organized, and detail-oriented School Secretary / Receptionist to join our administrative office team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting school operations and representing our school to families and visitors, while managing the daily operations of a busy school office. This position is key in maintaining strong communication between staff, families, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet students, parents, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency
  • Maintain attendance records and student files
  • Coordinate front-desk logistics such as mail, deliveries, and supplies
  • Support event coordination and day-to-day school operations
  • Provide administrative support to school leadership and faculty
  • Operate office equipment and manage supplies
  • Assist with calendar scheduling, logistics, and general office tasks
  • Remain calm, efficient, and courteous in a busy school environment

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable using phones, printers, copiers, and related office equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general computer literacy
  • Professional, friendly, and customer service-oriented demeanor
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic school environment
  • Prior experience in a school or administrative office is a plus
  • High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (some flexibility available)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $35,000–$45,000 (commensurate with experience)
