Overview: The Coordinator of Congregational Life and Learning (CCLL) plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and engaged Jewish community at Har Sinai-Oheb Shalom Congregation (HSOSC). This professional is responsible for creating meaningful opportunities for members of all ages and backgrounds to connect, celebrate, learn, and grow within the congregation. Through strategic programming, relationship-building, and operational coordination, in partnership with the entire professional team and lay/volunteer leadership, this professional strengthens the fabric of congregational life and cultivates a sense of belonging for all who call HSOSC home.

Key Responsibilities: In partnership with the Executive Director, Senior Rabbi, key professionals as well as lay leadership: 

• Youth and Young Families: Plan and coordinate all Youth and Family Programs (outside of the Religious School curriculum) in partnership with the Director/Assistant Director of Early Child and Youth Education and lay leadership;
• Adult Education: Plan, coordinate and oversee all logistics for all adult learning programs during the week and on Sunday mornings in partnership with clergy and lay leadership;
• Social Action and Social Justice: Plan and coordinate all social justice and social action programs in partnership with clergy and lay leadership;
• Community Engagement: Design and implement programs and initiatives that nurture cultural and social connections among members in partnership with the Executive Director; 
• Holiday and Special Event Planning: Oversee planning and execution of holiday celebrations, Shabbat experiences, and community-wide events that reflect Jewish tradition and HSOSC values in partnership with the professional team and lay leadership;
• Intergenerational Programming: Identify existing programming that can be intentionally intergenerational in its content and marketing to ensure that whenever possible, programming connects members across generations, from young families to seniors in partnership with the Director/Assistant Director of Early Child and Youth Education and lay leadership.
• Program Management: Collect and analyze data for regular ROI (Return on Investment) reports which also measure current and new member outreach, profit/loss, and other factors of success for all programs in partnership with Executive Director, the relevant professional staff, clergy, and lay leadership;

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree, B.A. or similar; 
• Proven experience in community building, program development, or Jewish communal work;
• Deep understanding of Jewish values, traditions, and calendar;
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills;
• Warm, approachable, and compassionate demeanor;
• Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the congregation;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-team environment with professionals and lay leaders;
• Ability to identify revenue sources for all programs managed by the Coordinator of Congregational Life (CCLL) and fully track revenues and expenses to remain within budget.

Reports to: Executive Director and Senior Rabbi 

Hours:

• Part-Time: Flexible hours to be determined;
• Some Sunday mornings during the school year;
• Some Friday evenings for congregational dinners and holidays; 
• Additional hours: Ability to be onsite for planning and execution of programming and special events outlined above. 

Compensation:

$40,000 - $60,000 per year depending on experience and hours.
