Role Overview

Hillel International is looking to hire an entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, and talented recent college graduate to take on the role of  Presidential Fellow.  This two-year position is based in the Office of the President and CEO of Hillel International. The Presidential Fellowship offers opportunities to support, work with, and learn from the leadership of one of the largest international non-profits in the Jewish community, and a platform from which to effect positive change in the future of Jewish life on college campuses. The Presidential Fellow is supervised by the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President, while also receiving meaningful guidance and feedback from the President and CEO.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and prepare summaries to prepare the President and other staff for key meetings and events.
  • Attend and take notes during the President’s meeting with staff, stakeholders, and/or partners, including on trips to campuses, conferences, or other events. 
  • Draft letters, social media, and other written content for further review and editing by the Chief of Staff or President.
  • Manage follow-up steps to meetings and events.
  • Prepare research and recommendations on strategic issues under consideration by the President.
  • Provide other ongoing advice, input, and support as needed. 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding record of academic achievement and campus leadership. Prior involvement in Hillel and other Jewish life on campus is a plus.  
  • A team-oriented approach to work, a willingness to undertake a wide range of administrative and project responsibilities, excellent relationship-building skills, superior written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent written, editorial, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships, collaborate, and build trust.
  • Familiarity with the Jewish community and genuine respect for the diversity of Jewish life.
  • Independence, reliability, and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office suite, Google for Work, video conferencing tools, Canva, and social media.

  • Competitive salary in the non-profit marketplace. The salary for this role is $48,000-$55,000
