Religious School Teacher Assistant

Job Location: Temple Sinai of Roslyn, Roslyn Heights, NY 

Compensation: $50 - $60 per hour based on experience 

Job Type: Part-Time Religious School Teacher Assistant 

Position Summary:

Temple Sinai Religious School, a dynamic, innovative, and friendly community, is looking for creative and energetic Teacher Assistants for grades K-6

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Hebrew is required 
• Weekday afternoon availability is required
• Experience with educational technology and experiential education a plus
• Enthusiastic and fun 
• Professionalism and a collaborative spirit 
• Willingness to be mentored, to grow and to learn 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist Teachers with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment 
• Working with students one-on-one or in small groups
• Giving extra help to students who need special accommodations or are struggling with a concept
• Assist Teachers in supervising students in and out of the classroom, including the halls, during specials and in the parking lot

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a synagogue, in a professional, team focused environment.
