Shabbat & Holiday Cantor

Woodbury Jewish Center (WJC), a vibrant and welcoming egalitarian Conservative congregation on Long Island’s North Shore, is seeking a talented Cantor to lead Shabbat and holiday services and bring spiritual depth and musical beauty to our community.

We are looking for a warm, engaging, and inspiring cantor who can:

• Lead services in collaboration with our rabbi and lay leaders
• Enrich our community with meaningful prayer experiences
• Connect with congregants of all ages and backgrounds
• Be present for major Jewish holidays and Shabbatot throughout the year

Qualifications include:

• Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Jewish liturgy
• Excellent vocal and musical ability
• Prior experience leading synagogue services (formal ordination not required)
• Ability to work collaboratively with clergy and staff
