Description

Congregation Olam Tikvah is seeking a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our team.  As a key contact for congregants and visitors, you will be a trusted partner who is integral to the successful operation of our synagogue. This position reports to the Executive Director, functions as part of the synagogue’s administrative team and collaborates with the clergy and education staff.  Knowledge of Judaism, previous non-profit or religious institution experience preferred.

Primary responsibilities include office administration, managing communications, and general office management. We are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills, works collaboratively with others, is discreet, well versed in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and is friendly and positive even in stressful situations.  Knowledge of ShulCloud, Constant Contact and QuickBooks is a plus.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Being the first smiling face and friendly voice that people encounter in person or on the phone able to direct people where they need to be or who they need to speak with
  • Administrative support to Bookkeeper, Executive Director and other staff as needed
  • Logistics support for auxiliary groups in coordination with senior staff
  • Manage calendar for entire building
  • Manage live-stream set up for regular and special events
  • Update website with content, photos, calendar items
  • Build and schedule emails
  • Post and monitor information on social media
  • Assist Communication Committee

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be organized, able to multi-task with keen attention to details
  • Experience in project and event organizing
  • Strong ability to manage calendars, learn and use database systems, and organize information; proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Constant Contact, Adobe. QuickBooks and ShulCloud a plus
  • Strong problem solving instincts
  • A Bachelor of Arts or comparable college degree preferred

Salary48,000.00 - 53,000.00 Annual
