Director of Children's Programming

Congregation Beth Sholom in Providence, RI is looking for a dynamic, kid-loving individual to help lead Shabbat morning programming for children ages 3–11. This is a flexible role with room to grow—whether you’re excited to bring new ideas or prefer to keep things simple and consistent. You’ll work alongside an experienced educator, with the option to take on more leadership over time. Programming includes a short, engaging children’s service from 11:00–11:45 AM featuring songs, stories, and weekly Torah themes—including fun parsha puppet shows (scripts provided!). There’s also an opportunity to help welcome and supervise children during open play from 9:30–11:00 AM, but that portion is optional depending on your availability and interest. Ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with kids, building community, and shaping joyful Jewish experiences.  Pay is commensurate with experience, starting at $25/hour. Weekly commitment is 2-4 hours/week, depending on interest.
