Temple Sholom, an egalitarian conservative synagogue in Bridgewater, NJ is looking for creative, engaging and experiential teachers to join our Nitzanim (name of our religious school) team. Our program meets on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30-6:30pm and Sunday mornings from 9:30am-12:00pm in person.
We are looking for individuals that can connect and relate to our learners. Bring Judaism alive by making it relevant and meaningful to them through experiential learning.
There are multiple teaching positions available, some for Wednesdays and Sundays, 1 for Sundays only and 1 for Wednesdays only.
Candidates should love working with children, have a passion for Judaism, a strong work ethic, be proficient in Hebrew decoding, and some teaching experience. Camp and Youth group experience is a plus.
We offer supportive supervision, a great working environment and opportunities for professional development. The Salary range is $3,000-$6,750 based on the position, experience and days you work.
