ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Established in 1948 in Mamaroneck, NY, Westchester Day School, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational, dual curriculum Jewish elementary school (2-year-olds through 8th grade), prepares students to live as mensches and lifelong learners and inspires them to impact the world around them by cultivating a commitment to Torah, midot, community and academic rigor.
This is a broad position and requires someone who is process and operations-oriented, highly detailed, with a strong multi-tasking ability, who can see small and large projects to conclusion. Candidates should have superior phone and communication skills, experience with daily administrative tasks and knowledge of office technology and computer software. S/he will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will have demonstrated problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will be resourceful and will be able to follow through on all tasks efficiently and responsibly. The ideal candidate will be an effective professional with strong interpersonal skills, who works well with others as part of a team in a multi-faceted organization. S/he will be a detail-oriented self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task, effective with time management, and will enjoy the intellectual challenge of working with the school's administration and faculty, while supporting various key professionals. Generating multiple weekly communications such as calendar notifications, detailed grade level communications and messages from administrators
Populating and maintaining digital platforms
Managing administrators’ schedules and handling day to day administrative tasks such as mail, office supplies and other issues that may arise
Welcoming parents and visitors to the school
Advancing the school with basic marketing materials
Planning the after-school program
Organizing the 8th grade high school admissions documents and graduation
Maintaining an organized office space
Experience and Preferred Qualifications
