Our Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) at Adath Israel serves families with young toddlers through pre-kindergarten, offering both part-time and full-time childcare options Our ECLC is a unique place for fun, socialization, skill development, and hands-on, play-based learning for young children. Every child is encouraged to explore, create, share, and learn at their own pace. Integrated into our program is the development of the child’s awareness of our Jewish heritage and values. Adath Israel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

We are seeking Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year!

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist the lead teacher in the implementation of the teaching and learning activities
  • Assisting with lunch, classroom and toy disinfecting as needed.
  • Help the teacher to design plans to meet the individual needs of each child

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in working in a school or childcare center
  • Ability to pass a full background check
  • Two letters of recommendation based on early childhood experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a child centered environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
  • Punctuality and good attendance are a must 

Both positions REQUIRE:

  • Pass the Pennsylvania background screening (PA State Police, PA Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprinting, National Sex Offender Registry)
  • Flu vaccine will be required once they become available in early fall
  • Participate in all Teacher-In Service/Professional Development dates
  • Documented experience working with children in an early childhood environment
  • Basic computer skills (internet, documentation, family correspondence)
  • Ability to co-teach and collaborate with a teaching team
  • References
