Congregation Beth Elohim (CBE) is a bold, forward-thinking Reform synagogue rooted in tradition and fueled by community. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, we’re a hub for spiritual connection, cultural creativity, and lifelong learning. We’re passionate about building a vibrant, inclusive Jewish future—one that’s welcoming to all identities, backgrounds, and experiences.
At CBE, we celebrate Jewish life through shared learning, meaningful ritual, and showing up for each other—through life’s big moments and everyday experiences. We’re also deeply committed to justice, education, and creating a Jewish experience that feels relevant, dynamic, and inspiring.
We’re looking for a Hebrew Program Manager to join Yachad, our innovative religious education program that serves nearly 600 students. Our team collaborates on curriculum design, builds authentic relationships with students and families, and cultivates a sense of belonging that extends beyond the classroom. At Yachad, learning is hands-on, values-driven, and always evolving.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
- You’ll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team that values creativity, inclusivity, and community.
- We provide regular professional development, leadership training, and space to grow your voice and vision as a Jewish educator.
- You’ll help shape a program where Jewish learning is alive, accessible, and rooted in real connection.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for a passionate Jewish educator who’s ready to dive into meaningful work with a collaborative, values-driven team.
Here’s what makes a strong candidate:
- A warm, approachable presence who connects authentically with children, teens, and families
- A strong background in Judaic content and community building
- A team player with strong communication, organizational, and planning skills
- Experience teaching or leading in educational or Jewish communal settings
- Experience with neurodivergent children in learning environments
- Confidence and ability to lead Jewish learning experiences across a range of ages, including work with families with young children.
- A self-starter who brings creativity, patience, a sense of humor, and a strong work ethic
- Working knowledge of Hebrew (you don’t need to be fluent, but should be able to teach decoding)
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Don’t meet every single qualification? That’s okay. We’re looking for great people—educators who are eager to grow, contribute, and make an impact. If you’re passionate about Jewish life and excited by this opportunity, we want to hear from you.
