Job Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Location: Hybrid – Remote, Bnei Akiva Office (Los Angeles), and On-Site at the Dovid Oved
Retreat Center (San Bernardino Mountains)
Schedule: Full-Time | Weekend availability required during retreat seasons
Reports To: Executive Director and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
Housing: On-site housing available (optional)

Nestled in the scenic San Bernardino Mountains, the Dovid Oved Retreat Center (DORC) is a
premier venue for Jewish organizations, schools, synagogues, and community groups seeking
meaningful retreat experiences. With a deep commitment to Orthodox Zionist values and
hospitality excellence, DORC serves hundreds of guests each season, offering modern
accommodations, kosher dining, and a wide range of programming and outdoor amenities.


Position Overview


We are looking for a proactive, organized, and relationship-driven Sales Development
Representative (SDR) to lead our retreat sales efforts. As the main growth engine of DORC, you
will be responsible for identifying and securing new clients, managing sales processes,
coordinating logistics, and supporting the overall financial success of retreat operations. This is a
mission-aligned role that requires strong communication, sales instincts, and a passion for
creating exceptional guest experiences.


Key Responsibilities


Client Outreach & Business Development


• Generate new leads across religious, educational, nonprofit, and corporate sectors.
• Collaborate with marketing to launch seasonal campaigns and convert inbound interest
into bookings.
• Maintain a structured pipeline and CRM for lead tracking and reporting.


Sales & Client Coordination


• Serve as the primary point of contact from inquiry to post-retreat follow-up.
• Conduct client discovery calls, align on goals, and lead booking processes.
• Manage scheduling, client expectations, and internal communications with program,
kitchen, and maintenance teams.
Contracts & Legal Oversight
• Draft, manage, and track contracts, waivers, and amendments.
• Ensure all documentation is compliant and organized.
• Assist with legal, insurance, and liability coordination when needed.

 

Financial & Operational Oversight


• Maintain the P&L related to retreats and report key financial metrics.
• Support billing, pricing strategy, collections, and forecasting.
• Work with the finance team to ensure accurate invoicing and receivables.


Client Retention & Satisfaction


• Conduct satisfaction surveys and post-event follow-ups.
• Personalize future experiences by tracking preferences and feedback.
• Build long-term relationships that lead to repeat bookings and referrals.


On-Site & Weekend Support


• Be on-call or present during retreats (especially weekends) to troubleshoot and represent
the organization.
• Attend on-site meetings or events at least once a week or as needed.


Preferred Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related
field.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales, event planning, retreat or conference center
management, or hospitality.
• Demonstrated ability to drive new business and manage client relationships.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and comfort using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter who thrives in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Deep understanding or familiarity with the Jewish community and values is a strong
advantage.
