Our client, The American Technion Society is currently seeking a Digital Engagement Manager to join their growing organization. This position is a hybrid NYC based role.
The American Technion Society (ATS) supports visionary education and world-changing impact through the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Based in New York City, it represents thousands of US donors, alumni, and stakeholders who invest in the Technion’s growth and innovation to advance critical research and technologies that serve the State of Israel and the global good. ATS employs a staff of 60 + that work from New York and in regional offices across the United States.
YOUR ROLE
The Digital Engagement Manager will report directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications and work on digital campaigns, content, and experiences that drive brand awareness, donations, event registration, and supporter engagement. This key team member will use data to make decisions, closely monitor social media performance, and will be responsible for creating, executing, and optimizing content and campaigns on social media and other channels to grow our audience and increase engagement.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Project Management: 25%
- Oversee digital campaign management, execution, and reporting
- Review email, social media, web reports and create actionable recommendations to increase followers, subscribers, event registrations, traffic, and engagement
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to create deliverables, plan, and timeline for digital engagement projects
- Assist Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications with support request tickets
SOCIAL MEDIA: 30%
- Plan and execute social media strategy for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Write copy and develop creative
- Manage growth marketing to increase audience size
- Oversee paid advertising and Google ad grants
- Execute social media fundraising campaigns with digital agency
- Outreach to other Jewish and scientific organizations to gain exposure for social posts
- Closely monitor analytics to make data driven decisions. Provide regular reporting on social media to the organization
VIDEO 15%
- Cut and provide post-production of videos from ATS speeches and events
- Coordinate use of video for social media, email, and other channels
- YouTube channel management and growth
- YouTube advertising
ALUMNI CAMPAIGNS 20%
- Work with Development team to execute alumni strategy
- LinkedIn community development: find alumni, engage them to sign up for emails, attend events, give. Make LinkedIn a resource for alum looking for jobs and looking to hire
- Write dedicated emails and social targeted to alumni
EMAIL & WEBSITE 25%
- Provide back up support on email and website work as needed
- Create webpages for news articles linked from social media
GENERAL: 10%
- Provide back-up graphic design, copywriting, copyediting and proofreading support
- Support and manage ad hoc projects, vendors, and freelancers as needed
- Serve as back-up for the Graphic Designer including fulfilling MOS orders as needed
- Assist with creating processes and systems to build efficiency

YOUR EXPERTISE
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years working in digital marketing, non-profits, or ad agency required
- Copywriting for social media and email
- Graphic design for social media
- Video editing
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with a wide array of digital campaign tools preferred
- Facebook ad manager, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or other Social Media platforms
- Canva, Adobe suite, or other design software
- WordPress or other content management system (CMS)
- Google Drive, Drop Box, or other cloud network drive
- Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or other customer relationship management (CRM)
- Engaging Network or other email service provider (ESP)
- com or other project management software
- Happy Fox, Zen Desk, or other support ticketing software
- Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork, analytical thinking and client/customer awareness
- Ability to work well with varying levels of management while exercising independent decision-making and discretion
- Ability to set priorities and work with diplomacy and efficiency in a high demand environment
- Passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional work quality

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
