Assistant Teacher

The Levis JCC Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center is currently hiring an Assistant Teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for children. These activities are designed to promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. This position assumes primary responsibility for the safety of an assigned group of children.  This role participates in other programs as they relate to Zale Early Childhood Learning Center and the Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or child development
• Specialized training in early childhood or child development and Staff Credential Verification
• 4+ years successful experience in child development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Classroom management experience
• Current First Aid and CPR certified
• Meeting all local, state and federal requirements by regulatory agencies 
• Complete 10 hours of continue education annually
