Conservative, egalitarian synagogue in western Suffolk County, NY is looking for a dynamic RS Principal to carry out all responsibilities necessary to oversee and conduct an “after-school” RS program. This person will be responsible to plan and attend all activities in which the RS participates. The Principal should be creative, a team player who can interact with other synagogue staff and leadership, and be able to support both the emotional and academic well-being of our students. This applicant must have strong organizational and computer skills and the ability to manage RS staff. Applicant must also possess knowledge of Hebrew, have the ability to create and implement curriculum incorporating Jewish content and experiential learning. Stellar communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for interacting with students, parents, staff, lay leaders and clergy. In addition, applicant must be comfortable with virtual teaching when needed. RS classes currently meet on Tues/Thurs.
