Seeking Enthusiastic Shabbat Morning Youth Service Leaders

The Position: We are currently seeking song leaders and educators to help conduct our weekly Shabbat morning youth services.

Shabbat Yachad is a 30 minute musical (ideally instrumental) service for our youngest Beth Amers Ages 0-5 and their grown ups. Kids Kahal is a 1 hour Shabbat service for students in grades 1st-5th. Kids Kahal mixes a youth-led Shabbat service with other interactive activities. The service leader could take on both of these groups back-to-back or lead just one of the services. Both services will occur between 10am-12pm with some flexibility. These services run most weeks between September- May each year, with some breaks during holiday weeks and other weeks based on the availability of the leader.

A successful leader will have experience leading youth services and will have musical and tefilah ability and knowledge. Leading services with a guitar or another instrument is preferred. The leader will be excited to engage the curiosity and energy of our youngest learners, and will find creative ways to engage this diverse group each week.

There is an opportunity to add extra hours through our Religious School as well. So if you think you might fit part of this description please reach out to have a conversation.

About Beth Am’s Shabbat Morning Programing :Beth Am is a Conservative Synagogue located in the Reservoir Hill Neighborhood of Baltimore.
