Aliyah Program Manager – North America

Position Summary:

The Aliyah program manager at The Jewish Agency will play a key role in supporting individuals and families exploring immigration to Israel (Olim). This position involves direct client engagement as well as oversight of daily office operations, budget management, staff onboarding and training, and coordination with The Jewish Agency’s offices in Israel. The role also includes leading team processes and major initiatives. The position reports directly to the Chief Programming Officer and Head of The Jewish Agency delegation for North America and is based at The Jewish Agency's HQ in New York City.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the relationship with the Israeli Consulate to obtain Aliyah visas
  • Main Point of contact with The Jewish Agency’s offices in Israel to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations and administrative functions of the office, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Lead the onboarding and training of new staff members, with a focus on team integration and Aliyah-related processes.
  • Drive the implementation of new protocols and processes across the team, ensuring clarity, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage program and office budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting needs, and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and feedback to the Aliyah team, ensuring their needs are met and professional development is encouraged.
  • Assisting Olim with Aliyah requirements
  • Performing Aliyah interviews with potential Olim
  • Managing and administrating daily office activities
  • Following up with Olim on all documentation and eligibility issues

Skills and work abilities:

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional costumer service, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Deep passion for and strong knowledge of the state of Israel, including its history, society and current events.
  • Proven initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Proven managerial experience, including leading teams, setting goals, providing supervision and feedback, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience

Languages:

Bilingual proficiency in Hebrew and English strongly preferred.

Additional information:

Full-time, in-office position. Immediate start preferred.

Salary Range: $80,000-$84,000
