Jewish Family Service of Clifton-Passaic (JFS) is a fast growing mental health and social services agency, developing new programs and hiring additional staff. JFS works with families, children and adults, ensuring access to affordable, high quality mental health and social services. Project SARAH assists survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse throughout the State of New Jersey. The program provides outreach and prevention work for the Jewish community, comprehensive therapy, case management services, and legal assistance to survivors in need.
Job Summary:
The Managing Director of Project SARAH is responsible for overseeing business operations, managing teams, and driving the strategic initiatives of Project SARAH. He/she works closely with the Clinical Director of Project SARAH, and collaborates with other clinical and administrative managers within JFS.
Strategic Leadership: The Managing Director sets the overall strategic direction of the program and works closely with the Clinical Director of Project SARAH as well as the Executive Director of JFS to develop short-term and long-term goals and objectives.
Business Operations: The Managing Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the program and ensures the various teams and functions are running smoothly, monitors performance metrics, and make decisions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Management: The Managing Director is responsible for leading and managing teams within the organization. He/she provides guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve the program’s goals and foster a positive work culture.
Stakeholder Relations: The Managing Director represents the program and maintains relationships with stakeholders such as clients, investors, partners, and regulators. He/she also engages in business development, fundraising activities as well as PR/marketing.
Resource Management: The Managing Director has oversight responsibilities over resource allocation, including budgeting and financial planning. He/she analyzes data and makes strategic decisions to ensure the financial health of the program.
Additional Duties:
The Managing Director of Project SARAH has the following responsibilities:
- Make presentations to schools, camps and other stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the program, including the timely submission of required reports, documentation and correspondence.
- Recruit, hire, and make personnel decisions regarding supervisors and staff.
- Attend to staff performance and identify areas of training needed.
- Define, measure, and evaluate program performance data in collaboration with the PS Clinical Director
- Ensure proper fulfillment of grant and donor requirements.
- Create and oversee continuous service improvement based on performance data.
- Assist general agency PR and fundraising activities.
