Job Summary:
The Administrative Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. This position involves managing administrative tasks, coordinating meetings and events, and ensuring smooth communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive, excellent communicator who is passionate about social justice and Jewish communal values.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the organization’s work, including programs, campaigns, and development.
- Manage CEO’s calendar including scheduling, coordinating, and preparing for meetings and events.
- Assist with travel and event planning.
- Provide support for JCPA board meetings, including calendaring, agendas, minutes, and distribution of meeting notes.
- Manage systems for tracking grant proposals, budgets, reports, etc.
- Support database/CRM updates and track supporter communication.
- Handle correspondence, emails, and phone inquiries efficiently, including with donors.
- Update and keep email lists and listservs current.
- Manage email inquiries to the general mailbox and direct to the appropriate staff.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed to support organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years experience in an administrative capacity, preferably within government or a nonprofit or advocacy organization.
- A collaborative problem-solver who works well on a team as well as independently.
- Highly organized with stellar attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email management, virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams), and database/CRM systems (EveryAction).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion with confidential information.
- Passionate about social justice, Jewish communal affairs, and civic engagement.
Compensation and Other Details:
- This position will be based in New York City or Washington, DC and report to the Chief of Staff. It will require some travel and limited evening and weekend work dependent on breaking news and events and programming.
- The compensation range for this role is $70,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience, plus full benefits that include health, dental, and life insurance and a retirement plan.
