The Regional Director/Manager reports to the Deputy Director and is responsible for growing Club Z’s presence and impact in the Bay Area and the regional community; the essence of this work is relationship building with teens, parents and the community at large. The Regional Director/Manager should be a creative, analytical, extremely detail oriented go-getter who combines organizational acumen and professionalism with a passion for Club Z’s mission. We are looking for an upbeat positive team member who will complement our start-up culture.
This is a full time position requiring on-site/in-person presence as well as travel locally, regionally and nationally. Applicants must be authorized to work and be based in the US.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Teen and Parents Engagement:
Make an impact in the community by engaging with and inspiring Jewish teens and their parents to become informed, lifelong leaders.
Grow the Club Z community as you work with Club Z staff, teens, parents, volunteers, and community members to create impactful and dynamic programs including overnight retreats, educational sessions, social activities, and community programs. Attend weekend & evening Institute sessions as may be scheduled from time to time.
Annually recruit cohorts of new students to participate in Club Z programs. Create meaningful opportunities to engage new parents and prospective students. Coordinate, lead and facilitate parlor meetings, social activities and community events within the assigned region.
Proactively utilize social media (FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.) to engage the Club Z community and expand Club Z’s reach. Work with Club Z staff and teens to create content for all our social media platforms.
Community Partnership Development
Build professional relationships with the local community with the support of the Deputy Director.
Establish and oversee local partnerships and networks throughout the local community on an ongoing basis. Work closely with the Development Director to develop a local partnership engagement plan.
Manage Club Z’s educational programming in the assigned area in coordination with and under the direction of the Director of Education.
Identify new local funding opportunities, including individual donors and foundations.
Develop and execute communication and marketing plans for the region, that includes teens, parents and all stakeholders.
Develop and manage a regional budget
Adhere to usage of all Club Z systems & tools, maintain all proprietary information following organizational protocols
Supervise and mentor junior staff when such responsibilities are assigned.
Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
The candidate must have a passion and be in close personal alignment with the mission and principles of Club Z.
Strong entrepreneurial spirit, a self-starter who takes initiative, loves working in a team, in a fast-paced changing environment.
3+ years community outreach & organizing experience
3+ years in professional leadership position with a proven track record of accomplishments.
Previous experience in managing junior personnel is necessary
Previous experience with/at AIPAC is a big plus
Experience working with parents and students (13-22 y.o.); ability to coach and inspire students and parents
Track record of creating, planning and implementing teen and community programming.
Experience of successfully cultivating and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills; strong presentation, and public speaking skills. Superior interpersonal and professional business skills,
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize the order of operations.
Expert knowledge of social media; ability to create and promote content.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including scheduled evenings and weekends.
Must be able to travel within and outside the region as the job may require.
Computer savvy with expert knowledge of digital communication and social media, open to learning new online spaces.
Maintain Client Relations Management (CRM) databases actively utilized by Club Z to maintain constituent and partner information.
Must have prior experience managing junior employees
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as G-Suite including Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides
Ability to learn relevant software systems and databases as needed
Bachelor’s Degree is required
