Description

Merrick Jewish Centre is seeking a highly motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to support the professional staff and the many committees of the MJC.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Calendar management
  • Scheduling events with the arms of the synagogue, clergy, Executive Director and Hebrew school.
  • In charge of weekly email blasts to the congregation and community.
  • Creation of program flyers and promotional materials
  • Follow up on all needs and logistics for MJC events
  • Greeting all visitors to the synagogue office.
  • Answering synagogue phone lines
  • Assisting in all administrative tasks including filing, copying and scanning.
  • Any additional Administrative support of the office staff, professionals and committees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an administrative assistant or in a related role for 1-2 years
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Salary50,000.00 - 55,000.00 Annual
