The Chabad House at Brandeis was founded in 2001 and is a premier organization serving current students and a vast alumni network. The Office Assistant will work closely with the Executive Director, Rabbi Peretz Chein, on the below-mentioned tasks.

The position will begin part-time with room for full-time in the future, depending on the task demands. Compensation will be $23 an hour. This is an in-person position that requires traveling to Waltham. The Chabad House is located a two-minute walk from the Brandeis-Roberts commuter rail station.

TASK LIST

Donor Relations

  • Produce and send donation receipts
  • Identify personal and family milestones, and send something in advance (anniversaries, birthdays, personal, spouse, children)
  • Newsletter
  • Shareholder updates
  • Gifts for Shareholders and donors
  • Organize alumni and donor events

Development

  • Track monthly Shareholder and annual donors
  • Research potential donors

Bookkeeping

  • Track and categorize expenses

CRM Management 

  • Input donations into CRM
  • Input and update contact info
  • General maintenance of CRM

Ongoing assistance with various Chabad House events, including logistics and setup, as they arise.
