The Atlanta-based Center for Israel Education is a 501(c)(3) seeking a highly talented and motivated Office Manager/Executive Assistant at a salary commensurate with experience for 20 to 25 hours per week. Candidates should have significant experience in office management in a Jewish or non-Jewish setting, possess a passion for Israel , be as amiable as capable, and live in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The position will be filled as soon as the right candidate is identified.

This person will be the hub of operational coordination for a small, active staff of on-site and remote employees and consultants and will report to the CIE President and Vice President. Together they will galvanize CIE’s mission of spreading Israel learning to teens, young adults, educators and the general public, including a website, israeled.org, that garners 100,000 users weekly. This person will be central to a team of experienced, innovative and productive colleagues. We learn together every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the office, building logistics and office operations.
  • Ensure organizational calendars, records management, computerized accounting, bookkeeping and management of databases.
  • Schedule and coordinate CIE projects, calendars, video-conferencing, in-house programs and outreach engagements with staff, consultants, academic researchers and external vendors.
  • Travel outside Atlanta occasionally as needed.
  • Steward communication between CIE employees and CIE’s Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an advanced degree preferred or exemplary experience in office direction and management.
  • More than seven years’ experience or equivalent work in operations in managing an office for a Jewish or non-Jewish nonprofit.
  • Astute and varied computer skills, ideally including Canva, Adobe applications, the Microsoft Office suite, Zoom and Asana.
  • Experience in budget management and compliance paperwork.
  • Demonstrated excellence in English writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Native fluent competency in a foreign language is a bonus.
  • A quiet yet efficient demeanor while being as amiable as industrious.
