2s Assistant Teacher – Mickey Fried Preschool at Oheb Shalom Congregation

The assistant teacher will collaborate with the Head Teacher and other staff to provide students with an enriching and productive educational environment for students ages 2-3 years old. Assistant teachers work directly under teachers to support instruction, help prepare the classroom each day, provide aid to students with projects and activities, and provide supervision during transitions throughout the day. Assistant Teachers help teachers maintain contact with parents and caregivers, acting as a liaison between the school and families.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare classroom equipment and materials for activities and projects
2. Support students in learning appropriate classroom behavior
3. Collaborate and communicate with teachers and parents on a regular basis regarding student progress

Requirements:

• High School Degree required; some college preferred
• Previous experience in a school setting a plus
• Must be physically able to perform all necessary tasks, including diaper changes and toileting

Schedule and Salary:

• Monday through Friday 9am-1pm or 9am-3pm
• Salary commensurate with education and experience
