Early Childhood Center (“ECC”) Director at Beth Sholom Congregation & Talmud Torah

The Beth Sholom ECC is a Modern Orthodox child-centered program that is inspired by the educational approach of the preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy. We believe that children are curious and competent and need a rich learning environment to stimulate their senses and explore the world around them. Our curriculum is also centered around our Jewish curriculum and values. The ECC is a warm and friendly environment, where families and teachers collaborate to create a fun and enriching atmosphere for children to grow. Our school serves children ages 18 months through 5 years. In a typical year, our enrollment is between 70 and 90 children.

The ECC is part of the greater Beth Sholom congregation, a vibrant Modern Orthodox community in Potomac, MD. In recent months, the community has seen strong growth, particularly among younger families. The ECC and synagogue are deeply intertwined, and on a typical Shabbat many ECC staff and children participate in services and programming. The ECC and synagogue play integral roles in creating a welcoming environment rich with Jewish traditions and values.
