The Union for Reform Judaism’s (URJ) Marketing & Communications department seeks a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to grow the participation, impact and reputation of the URJ and its core programs to increase participation, engagement and financial support for priority initiatives. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the tactical implementation of key marketing projects supporting core URJ programs to reach new audiences. The Marketing Specialist will work individually and in collaboration with internal stakeholders to create content, launch campaigns, and build out new ideas to fruition. Using innovative and strategic content and marketing tactics, the work will amplify the URJ’s messaging, including the voice and initiatives of the Religious Action Center (RAC);broaden awareness of and participation in network expansion experiences; build interest in URJ camps and immersives;and increase engagement with the URJ brands and their core programs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Marketing Specialist reports to the Director, Growth Marketing and is responsible for the following:
Build engagement with URJ brands and their core programs through varied marketing channels, including social media, email, and paid advertising.
Work collaboratively with other members of the marketing team and internal stakeholders to create authentic, relevant marketing content to deliver key messages.
Create and manage project plans for key marketing initiatives and content pieces.
WHO YOU ARE & KEYS TO SUCCESS (THE MUST-HAVES):
To be successful in this job, you excel in the following areas:
Project Management. Ability to identify steps to successfully launch a program or project, working across multiple stakeholders, and oversee it to on-time completion.
Digital Media Savvy. Up-to-date knowledge of digital media platforms and best practices – and the interest to continue learning and experimenting as the industry evolves.
Taking Initiative. Desire to take ownership of work tasks and complete them with minimal oversight, suggesting opportunities for improvement or optimization based on data and knowledge.
Communication. Highly effective and proactive oral and written communication skills.
REDI Experience (Racial Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion). Demonstrated experience prioritizing and executing on Racial Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (i.e., ableism, LGBTQ+ Inclusion, antiracism, etc.) priorities.
Experience managing or overseeing multi-part projects
Experience developing and maintaining social media content calendars
Experience with Falcon.io/Brandwatch or similar social media management tool
Graphic design (Canva) experience preferred
